›Is this accredited training?
No, and we won't pretend otherwise. These are awareness-level courses with a randomised assessment, issued by a real UK limited company and verifiable by anyone. They are not regulated qualifications and are not endorsed by any accreditation body. For many workplace purposes (demonstrating staff awareness training for GDPR, Cyber Essentials, or AML policies) that is exactly what is needed. For a regulated qualification, you need a regulated provider.
›Will employers accept the certificate?
Many will, for awareness training purposes, because the certificate is verifiable: it carries a unique code and a QR link that anyone can check on our verify page, showing the name, course, score, and dates. That is more than most free training offers. Whether a specific employer, auditor, or regulator accepts it is their call, which is why we publish exactly what the certificate does and doesn't attest to.
›Why is it free? What's the catch?
There isn't one. Amrani Academy is run by Amrani IT Ltd, an IT consultancy. Publishing good free training on the topics we consult on is our marketing, and it is more useful to you than an advert. There is no paywall, no account, no mailing list, and the certificate does not expire into a payment request.
›Why do certificates expire after a year?
Because awareness goes stale. Regulations change, threats change, and a GDPR assessment passed in 2023 says little about today. A 12-month validity keeps the certificate meaningful, and you can retake the course and assessment for free any time.
›Can I retake the assessment if I fail?
Yes, immediately and as often as you like. Every attempt draws a fresh set of questions from the full bank in a new order, so retaking means demonstrating the knowledge, not memorising an answer sheet.
›Do I need an account? What data do you keep?
No account. We only ever ask for the name you want printed on the certificate, at the moment you take a final assessment, plus your score and the date. Details in the privacy policy.
›How does verification work?
Every certificate has a unique code (like GDPR-4X7K-9QRT) printed on it, along with a QR code linking to the verification page. Entering the code shows the certificate's name, course, score, and validity dates, straight from our records. If a code returns nothing, we didn't issue it.
›Can you add a course on [topic]?
Suggest it: a@amrani.uk. The current catalogue covers data protection, cyber security, Cyber Essentials, AI at work, financial crime, and business continuity, and it grows based on what people ask for.
