AI at Work: Safe and Sensible UseLesson 11 of 12
4. Using AI well at work
Good prompting habits
Give the tool useful context, be specific about what you actually want, and iterate rather than expecting a perfect result on the first try, these all genuinely improve output quality. But none of that changes the core rule from earlier in this course: never include information in a prompt that you wouldn't be comfortable with a third party seeing.
A useful habit: before you paste something in, ask yourself whether you'd be equally comfortable pasting the same content into a public forum post. If the answer is no, it doesn't belong in a prompt to a tool whose data handling terms you haven't checked.
