3. Accuracy, bias and accountability
A person is always accountable
Using an AI tool to help produce a piece of work does not transfer responsibility for that work to the tool. If an AI-assisted document contains an error, a biased statement, or a confidential data leak, the accountability sits with the person who used the tool and the organisation that published or relied on the output, not with the AI provider.
"The AI generated it" is not a defence, in the same way "a colleague drafted it" wouldn't excuse you from checking a document before you sign it or send it. Whoever uses the output remains responsible for its accuracy, appropriateness, and consequences.
